Restore your body and mind after a long day
Have you ever practiced yin yoga against the wall? It's divine.
Join me for a yin yoga wall sequence to melt away stress from your body and mind after a long day on your feet. It's a perfect practice for the evenings to prepare for sleep.
Wall Yin Yoga Benefits
The extra support of the wall helps the bones of your legs and pelvis to release into the pull of gravity. This is deeply relaxing for your hips, lower back and the ligaments of your spine.
It's also offers you the added benefits of inversions, which move fluids from the extremities toward the heart and glands of your brain.
This shifts us into the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the state of rest and digest.
Wall Yin Yoga Sequence
This practice begins with support for our sacrum as we draw our legs up the wall. We'll move through yin yoga postures like butterfly pose, dragonfly pose, reclined pigeon and twists.
Finally, we'll finish our practice with a mantra meditation to quiet our minds and prepare for sleep.
